I've been working from home for a few years now and don't ever know how I worked with just 1 screen! My Mac is amazing, don't get me wrong. But, the screen is just too small to multi-task with multiple programs open at the same time.
I also have two workstations in my home office: one for my full-time job and one for my personal ambitions. I have a second monitor at BOTH stations. It is a necessity! Once you have two screens, you will never go back!

For my work station, I added this 27-inch [ad] Dell Full HD Monitor. I was going to get a smaller one, but my husband talked me into getting a larger one. I love that I did! I can have multiple programs opened on the monitor, and I can use my laptop for my main working screen. This is super helpful when I facilitate training sessions and need to see the participants along with my presentation materials.

For my personal workstation, I bought the 15.6 inch [ad] InnoView Portable Monitor. This one appealed to me because its portable ! I found myself traveling for our kids' sporting events but still needing to get work in between hotels, ball fields, etc. So, I needed something that was lightweight, portable, and durable. This monitor has made several trips in the car and in my [ad] carry-on luggage for flights as well. Even my son grabbed it one weekend for his Xbox that snuck on a trip with us!

There are several others that I considered and I encourage you to choose the one that works best for you. But if you get caught up in the reviews and sheer number available and can't decide, the two I mentioned above have been working for me!
