One of our latest trips was to Charleston, SC. The way we decided to go there was to give our kids a list of cities we've always wanted to visit and we let them pick! It is now a city that we all want to go back to!

Four story white house
Sullivan's Nest

We started by finding a place to stay. We've spent many nights in small hotel rooms with a family of four and ONE bathroom, that now when we travel, we need our space. It makes all of us better! This is the part of the trip that I always OVERTHINK. But, it was worth it! We booked our stay at Sullivan's Nest in Mount Pleasant, SC. We book this property through Luxury Simplified Retreats - wow!!! They have a lot of amazing properties around the Charleston area! Sullivan's Nest had everything we could have wanted!

The home was 4 stories tall, with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and plenty of room for all of us. The main living area was on the 2nd floor and had a large family room, kitchen stocked with anything you could need, including a few goodies when we arrived. There was also a powder bathroom just off the kitchen.

The master suite was on the 3rd floor and had a king sized bed, flat screen TV, large walk-in closet and private bathroom. And on the top floor, there were 2 more bedrooms, along with a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. One had a queen sized bed and the other had a queen-twin bunkbed. There was also laundry available on the top floor and a gas grill on the outside patio. We didn't get a chance to use these, but had we stayed another day or two, we definitely would have!

We were only 5 minutes from Sullivan's Island and 10 minutes to Island of Palms. When we visit Charleston and the beaches again, we plan on staying in another Luxury Simplified Retreat property!
