Years ago, I began working from home...before working from home was cool. During that time, I just had a desk, my laptop and a few desk accessories. After a few years, I went back to work full-time outside of the house. But, I was still not where I needed to be. I found myself back in my home working full-time in an industry that I am so passionate about! This time, I decided to make my home office a place I wanted to be, where I would be calm, relaxed and inspired to work.

I started by painting the walls a grey color - Sherwin Williams Dorian Grey (they were beige before!). I added [ad] Scott Living Peel and Stick Wallpaper in Shiplap Grey to one wall to add some dimension and a nice background. After participating in 1000s of Zoom calls over the last few years, I knew I wanted my background to be a wall, and not the door on the other side of my office. Didn't want to chance my kids (or husband) walking in during an important call or training! I also added a series of prints: "Stay Positive, Work Hard, Make It Happen" in simple black frames to make it complete.

I had two large shalving systems already that I just repurposed as my entertainment center and storage.

Then, my goal was to set up two workstations: one for my full-time job, and one for my personal setup. Once I received my work computer, I added in a large monitor for my workspace. I got used to using two screens during the day and when I went to work on my personal computer, something was missing. So, I bought this [ad] 15.6 inch InnoView Portable Monitor. I also travel for work some and have been able to take this on trips very easily in my carry-on. My son has even used it for a few family trips for his xbox games!

And finally...the missing piece to my office...my new [ad] Standing Desk! I bought the 55x24 inch version because I always have my computer, phone, water, etc. and knew I needed the space.
